The December BurgaBox is a Christmas Miracle

Are you on the nice list? We hope not. Because Santa Claus is coming to town and it's with the baddest BurgaBox feast yet.

October Burgabox: The OktoberFEAST

Hallo Burga Lovers!

Tis the season of beer, cheese, sausages and German pretzels and we have some great news. Our October Burgabox has all of the above....

What's So Hot About Our Chili?

Let the truth be known: Boston Burger Company has the best chili around. Our burgers may be the star of the show, but our chili gets plenty of attention. The secret is simple: we use high-quality ingredients and a lot of TLC.

Where's The Beef?

Our chili is packed full of the same high-quality beef we use for our burgers. We start each pot by browning a healthy amount until it renders its flavorful juices, which we then use to saute an aromatic mix of onions and green peppers.

Spice It Up

For extra fireworks, we use both dried, ground chilies and wicked-hot habanero peppers, minced finely so you catch a little heat in each bite. Add in some cumin and black pepper and you've got a blend of spices sure to wow your palate.

Low and Slow

We then add tomatoes, turn down the heat, and let the pot simmer until the ingredients meld into a bouquet of flavors. Good chili requires a little time, but for those in need of a bowl on demand, we'll always have a pot ready for you at the restaurants.

Perfect Pairings

You can try our chili by the bowl, but we dare you to try our massive Texan Burger or our gourmet chili cheese fries. And if you're adventurous enough to make it at home, here's our recipe.

Boston Burger Company Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. Sicilian olive oil
  • 1 medium white onion, diced
  • 1 medium green pepper, diced
  • 1/2 habanero pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 lb. 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle of Sam Adams Boston Lager
  • 1 (28 oz.) can chopped tomatoes in puree
  • 1 (14.5 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 2 cups water

Directions

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat Saute onions, peppers, and habanero pepper until softened. Add ground beef and spices and cook until browned.  Pour in beer and simmer until liquid is reduced by 1/2.  Add tomatoes, water, and beans.  Bring to a boil and lower heat.  Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring often.
